Consultant in Cardiology at the MGM New Bombay Hospital., Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC), European Society of Cardiology (FESC), Indian College of Cardiology (FICC) and Cardiological Society of India (FCSI)

Professor and Faculty, Maharashtra University of Health Sciences.

Actively involved in research in the field of atherosclerosis, dyslipidemia and hypertension. 50 presentations and amongst the first in the country on Carotid Intima-media thickness, Endothelial dysfunction at the national level, including the Award sessions at the American College of Chest Physicians, International Critical Care Congress, Cardiological Society of India (CSI), API, Hypertension society of India & Indian College of Cardiology in the last 5 years. Publication on the subject in the Indian Heart Journal, Asian Journal of Clinical Cardiology & JAPI. Expert faculty for the Public Health Foundation, India for the Diabetes Certification course for physicians (CCEBDM). Invited faculty for all prestigious national societies in the field of cardiology since last 10 years.

Conferred the Dr D P Basu award for the best original contribution on the subject of Pulse wave velocity at the CSI National Conference at Bangalore, December 2004. Awarded the P J Mehta Oration in 2003 and Jal-Vakil Lecturership in Cardiology in 2005 for API and Dr K K Datey Memorial oration at the CSI 2011 annual conference in Mumbai. Invited Faculty for all prestigious national Society meetings. Awarded for outstanding contribution in Cardiology by the American Association of Cardiologist of Indian Origin (AACIO) in March 2012 at Chicago.

Original research presentation at the American Society of Hypertension on correlation of central aortic pressure with brachial pressure with the newer ARBs and fxed dose combination of Olmesartan with Amlodipine in May 2014 at New York, European Society of Hypertension in June 2013, Milan, Italy on EFFICIENT Study, American Society of Hypertension on comparative efficacy on ABP monitoring of newer ARBs in May 2012 at New York. Prior research presentations include in May 2006 at ASH,New York, European Cardio-vascular Research Congress in Oct.2005 at France, ESC 2007 in Vienna, ESH 2008 at Berlin. Been a referee for European Heart Journal, Indian Heart Journal, International Journal of Cardiology (U.K.), Vascular Health and Risk management (U.K.), Journal of the Italian Society of Diabetes and Atherosclerosis, Japanese Journal of Experimental Medicine & JAPI. Invited Expert Columnist for SIIC, Argentina on endothelial dysfunction. Faculty Member of SPAF Academy on Newer Anticoagulants.

Author of the STRONG Study published in American Journal of Cardiovascular Drugs, June 2009 and Tenecteplase registry in AMI, Indian Heart Journal Oct 2009, Dec 2010, Oct 2011 and Feb 2013, EFFICIENT study on Diuretic-Amlodipine combination therapy in hypertension in April 2014 and Stress test ECG in hypertension March 2014.

Fellowship in CT Coronary Angiography in summer 2005 in Los Angeles and Winston-Salem, USA.

Program director for ACC Cardiosource India Live program in 2009 and ACC CV Update 2010-2014, ASH scientific meeting in India in 2013 and 2014. Faculty for ACC Foundation Industrial Training Program in India in 2012.

Hypertension, Metabolic Disorders and Cardiovascular Disease (PreHT2020)
to a later date.
The conference will remain in Vilnius.
